About

With a background in guitar, piano and orchestral music and a degree in Commercial Music Production from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music (UC-CCM), Mike’s music has been heard on NBC, Bravo, local radio, and in other various forms of media.

Growing up in a family with parents who loved music and a big brother who played drums for local rock bands in Dayton, OH, Mike was introduced to a variety of music styles. He played trumpet and sang in school choirs as a youth and got his first guitar at 15 from the lead singer in his brother’s band. Learning by ear and watching others, Mike started playing in a band himself shortly after with friends from high school. They performed originals and covers at rented-out venues, school basketball games and dances, and local bars that let them perform with their parents in attendance.

After high school, Mike spent time in Argentina as an exchange student where he learned much including Tango, fútbol and Castellano. After he came back to Ohio and attended Wilmington College where he played soccer and got a degree in Political Science. Mike spent time in Austria, Boston, Arizona, and California where he studied music at Yavapai College, and in 2013 he came back to Ohio where he attended UC-CCM and got a degree in Commercial Music Production that emphasized composition, performance, jazz theory, audio engineering, and production.

Since graduating, Mike has worked writing and producing from his home studio for music libraries. He also teaches guitar and piano. Mike has worked with local artists and bands to record and produce their own music, and he collaborates on audio projects with musicians, composers and producers all over the world.
